The recipe below is a way to make a healthy chicken soup.
Serves 3
Ingredients
1. 500gms of Chicken drum sticks
2. Onion
3. Turmeric powder
4. Garlic powder or paste
5. Oil
6. Salt
Steps to Make
Step 1 Remove and clean skin from the chicken drum sticks.
Step 2 Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan.
Step 3 Cut one small onion in to thick slices and fry gently in oil.
Step 4 When onions turn light brown add chicken drum sticks and fry for 3-4 minutes.
Step 5 Boil almost 4 cups of water in a pot.
Step 6 Put all the contents in the pan, including oil and fried onions plus the chicken in to the boiling water in the pot.
Step 7 Add half teaspoon of salt and a quarter teaspoon of turmeric. Then add a quarter teaspoon of garlic powder or paste. Now stir all the contents well.
Step 8 Cover the pot with lid and cook on medium heat. Cook for at least 25 minutes.
Step 9 Serve in a soup bowl.
